A walk through the city's beautiful park is highly recommended.
The Heinrich Heine Park in Lunzenau was laid out between 1873 and 1877 on behalf of the factory owner Wilhelm Vogel. It covers an area of around 36.6 hectares and has a rare, sometimes exotic stock of trees. A large number of trees can still be seen today that date back to when it was created - including a 200-year-old red beech with a circumference of 5.6 meters.

Until 1945 the park was privately owned and closed to the public. Since 1952 it has been called "Heinrich-Heine-Park". Various paths lead through the park, offering peace and relaxation to walkers. An artificial ruin was erected on a rocky outcrop above the Zwickauer Mulde and a tunnel was created.
