It is recommended that hikers do not stop at Skógafoss, but continue hiking to Skálabrekkufoss and, by extension, Kaefufoss Waterfall. Those who prefer a shorter walk can turn back here. Although there are more waterfalls further up the canyon.

Cairn along the way, but not really a waymark. The viewpoint is nice, but it is highly recommended to hike further up.
