“The brick chapel dates back to 1905 and was built at the request of Bernhard Brinkhues, who survived a fall from the hayloft as a 15-year-old boy and recovered. The figures were carved by the sculptor Heinrich Hartmann from Wiedenbrück, whose father came from the Hartmann-Ribbert family. The dying Joseph is seen on an altar, with Jesus and Mary by his side.”
