The descent here is much more pleasant and safer than in the direction of Kanzelwand or Kuhgehrensattel.

Mountaineering

The descent from the Walser Hammerspitze into the Wildental is quite steep and rocky in some places up to the Wannenalpe. At the Wannenalpe you can then decide whether to continue parallel to the slope to the Innere Kuhgehrenalpe or to first walk a little further parallel to the slope into the valley and then descend to the Ruhealpe on the steep path coming from the Fiderepasshütte.

Hiking

We hiked the route in reverse. From the Wannenalpe up to the Walser Hammerspitze. Since the sun was shining, we were sweating quite a bit. But when we looked back 👀, we were presented with a fantastic mountain panorama 😍
