Do step inside as well. The Rococo-style pulpit is quite impressive (whether that also means "beautiful" is, of course, a matter of taste ;-)). At the front, you can see a number of 19th-century stained-glass windows by Charles Lévêque (1875); at the back, two with a much more modern design (20th century).
Another fun fact: the tower of the Saint Lawrence Church, the so-called "Peperbus", is the tallest in the Waasland at 66.2m.
