The Bocholt-Herentals canal (also called Campinois canal or Meuse-Escaut canal) connects over a distance of approximately 60 km the Zuid-Willemsvaart canal at Bocholt with the Albert Canal at Herentals. During the Second World War, the canal played an important role in transporting troops during Operation Market Garden.
