This is the geographical center of the Zabergäus. It was calculated by the former Güglingen city councilor Dr. Wilhelm Stark – retired surveyor – together with the chairman of the Zabergäu Association Uli Peter.
The center of the Zabergäus can be found in the Frauenzimmern district - in the visual axis between Stocksberg Castle on one side and Michaelsberg on the other side. There is a lot to see in the field between the “Am Brackenheimer Weg” and “Spitzäcker” valleys south of the Wurmbach. There is also the loggia created in 1993 by the architect Heinz Rall, which used to stand in front of the Herrenäcker kindergarten in Güglingen. In front of it is a tapered refuge for birds, insects and amphibians, flanked by old varieties of fruit trees and wild herbs.

Our local Uli Peter from Güglingen had been thinking about the idea of creating an identification point - a landmark in Zabergäu - for a long time. It was only the demolition - the removal and planned scrapping of the steel loggia in front of the Herrenäcker kindergarten that gave the decisive impetus to develop the idea further and implement it accordingly. But setting up the steel loggia in the field east of Frauenzimmern as the focal point alone did not receive the approval of either the Güglingen city administration or the Heilbronn district office. It was only the long-held wish of Dr. Wilhelm Stark to create or design a fruit variety conservation garden for old local fruit varieties that are no longer cultivated, a wild herb reserve, a revitalization of our monotonous field with a field grove, in other words an oasis for our local flora and fauna, that brought the breakthrough to implementation and the necessary approval.
