Tips
The Pfeiferhütte (with an "f") was first mentioned in 1583. The forest manager at the time, Caspar Pfeifer, is said to have built it as a shelter for hunting guests and his forest workers. The current hut is from 1953. Next to it is a nice barbecue area, which is not overcrowded because it cannot be reached directly by car.
Occasionally there is also catering by a club at the hut.January 31, 2020
