Tips

  • The Villa Kogge is in Alt-Lietzow 28. It was built from 1864 to 1866 and is a listed building. It was built in 1866 for the timber merchant Carl Albert Friedrich Kogge and is therefore one of the oldest town houses in Charlottenburg.

In 1910 it became the property of the city of Charlottenburg and so later the city of Berlin.

In 1959 the villa was last rebuilt in accordance with a listed building and has only been used as a registry office since then. It is one of the 100 most beautiful and popular registry offices in Germany. In 1977 Hildegard Knef and Paul von Schell, among others, said yes in the Villa Kogge.
