The New Lake, a park idyll in Berlin Tiergarten. As Elector Friedrich III. End of the 17th century On the site of a former hunting ground, the Great Tiergarten was created as a "pleasure park for the population", an English landscape park was created with walking paths between lawns, groups of trees, water courses and lakes with small islands. Today, the 210-hectare Tiergarten forms the green lung of Berlin and is with the New Lake, which is idyllically located in the southwestern corner of the park, today and then a popular destination for Berlin, if they want to relax in the middle of their city in a green environment.
