Very nice light, especially in the evening. A visit to the beer garden is worthwhile.

The new lake, a park idyll in the Berlin zoo. As Elector Friedrich III. At the end of the 17th century, on the site of a former hunting ground, the Great Zoo was created as a "pleasure park for the population", an English landscape park was created with walking paths between lawns, groups of trees, water courses and lakes with small islands. Today, the 210-hectare Tiergarten forms the green lung of Berlin and with the New Lake, which is idyllically located in the southwest corner of the park, is a popular destination for Berliners today, as it was then, when they want to relax in the middle of their city in green surroundings.

Straße des 17. Juni runs through the zoo, the New Lake is located south of it near the Tiergarten S-Bahn station. In the east, the park ends directly at the Brandenburg Gate and the Bundestag, which means that many tourists come by when they need a break from sightseeing.
