Östersund Central Station or Östersund C is Östersund's main train station. It is on the Middle Line and the Inland Line and is served by SJ, Norrtåg and Inlandsbanan. Trains run several times a day to Stockholm and once a day with the Inlandsbanan to Gällivare or Mora. Regional trains also run from here several times a day to the west to Åre, Duved or Storlien or to the east to Ånge and Sundsvall. The station building was built entirely out of wood in 1879, mainly based on the design of the architect Adolf W. Edelsvärd (1824 to 1919).
