The Storndorf Jewish Cemetery above the village was built at the end of the 18th century. The graves of the cemetery are aligned almost exactly to Jerusalem, according to Jewish belief there begins the resurrection of the dead. There are over 100 tombstones in the cemetery, the oldest being from 1784 and the youngest from 1934.
In 1939, the Jewish community was dissolved as part of Nazi persecution.
