Situated at the mouth of the River Tyne near Newcastle, North Shields Harbour is a historic fishing and trading town with roots dating back to the 13th century, best known today as the arrival point for the ferry between IJmuiden and Newcastle. Widely regarded as the finest marina in the north of England, this beautiful place is perfect for a relaxing walk/run/cycle or wandering away from vehicle traffic and noise. There is also a café/bar/restaurant on site.
