If you think you've seen this chapel on TV before, you're right. It was a main setting in the episode "The Anabaptists" of the ZDF crime series "Wilsberg". The chapel dates from 1749 and is therefore significantly younger than the Visbeck house itself. The plans were drawn up by the famous Baroque architect Johann Conrad Schlaun. The hexagonal wooden predecessor chapel from the 16th century, first mentioned in 1572, was destroyed in a fire on the manor in 1639.

Parts of the manor were destroyed in a major fire in March 2023, but the building is currently being rebuilt. The archway and defense tower as well as the barn were largely spared.
