In 1996 the locomotive was sold together with the Ka 4909 and the Ka 4979 to the BEM - Bavarian Railway Museum in Nördlingen. In June 2000, the village beautification association took over the small locomotive from the BEM. Together with a semaphore signal, the locomotive has stood as a monument locomotive in Dorfen in a small green area on the former line to Velden since 2001.
