The office building probably served as the monastery's administration and later as the castle captain's residence. Utility rooms were also housed here. The south wall is still preserved up to the height of the eaves. A memorial plaque commemorates those killed in the First World War (1914-1918) who were members of the Lusatia Association. The association includes several local, nature, history and mountain associations whose aim is to promote the culture and identity of Upper Lusatia.
The half-shell tower connects the office building with the residential tower - today a lookout point, formerly a military facility with loopholes for defense using arquebuses.
