Only about 250 m of gravel, the rest of the cycle path is paved. This is one of the few sections in which the Danube Cycle Path is an alternative to the country road for racing cyclists.

One of the 4 sections on the cycleway between Tuttlingen and Sigmaringen which is asphalted. The pavement is smooth and easy to ride. No real climbs, so this is also easy for young children to ride.
