You almost think you are in Provence in view of the sky-high limestone cliffs and short tunnels through which the route leads here. At the roadside the Danube, a good road, the landscape is absolutely top and there are also cultural highlights such as the Beuron Monastery or the Werenwag Castle, which sits on a rocky promontory like an eagle.
Not an insider tip, however, so there is a lot of activity here on typical excursion days. Unsurprisingly, the motorcycle group also found the winding route very attractive. Although most of them cruise rather leisurely, a ride on a racing bike is better off Sundays and public holidays or in the morning before 10 a.m.
