The bronze figure created by Theo Steinbrenner is a real work of art. The newly designed Sander village square was already richly decorated with the Marian column, the cast iron municipal coat of arms donated by Karl Wendel and the "Träubeles" fountain. With the "Raaser" monument unveiled on Sunday, the people of Sand now have another gem and ornament in their living room. The new wonderful work of art is intended to commemorate the long tradition of basket weaving and basket trading in Sand.
