The icebreakers, with the exception of the multipurpose icebreakers, are still in summer rest at Katajanokka beach. Multipurpose breakers only need berths for installation and storage of equipment. The current icebreakers are Kontio, Otso, Voima, Urho, Sisu and Polaris. During the summer, it is also possible to rent the icebreakers at the pier for private events.

Helsinki, the eco-friendly capital of Finland, is a bustling port city with beautiful islands and large green parks. It inspires with a unique way of life, impressive design and varied architecture. Despite its imposing, magnificent buildings and attractive promenades, Helsinki has the charm of a small town. The distances are short, you can hardly get lost. The Market Square (Kauppatori) is a lively focal point of the city with its fruit, vegetable, snack and souvenir stalls. Here Helsinki is not Nordic-chilled, but seems almost Mediterranean. The Market Hall (Wanha Kaupahalli) in Helsinki is the oldest in the country, but has been completely renovated in the past. A few steps from the market is the red-brick Uspensky Cathedral. It is the largest Russian Orthodox church in Northern Europe and, in addition to numerous golden onion domes, has a magnificent interior. The walk up the stairs to the cathedral is also worthwhile for the view; from there you can see almost the entire center of the city and the port. And the city's landmark towers above everything, the snow-white cathedral with its large, green dome.
