Today's Haus Beeck is actually the outer bailey to the original Beeck moth system. The house has been the seat of several noble families. The first representative was Rütger von Beeck, last it was the von Goltstein-Wittenhorst family before the house passed into private hands. Today it is the annual meeting place for a major event by the comedian and humorist Christian Pape, who lives there and has restored the front of the house to its original state over the past two years.
