Great path right next to the Schwalm.

Beautiful cycle path along the Schwalm.
The source of the Schwalm is in a wetland south of Wegberg-Tüschenbroich at about 85 m above sea level. From there, its water flows mainly through the Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park, with its riverbed running between the Rur, Nette and Niers.
Of the total length of the river 45.3 km to the mouth of the Maas, near the town of Swalmen, 13 km run on Dutch territory. The mouth area is only about 12 m above sea level.
Parts of the river course, which carries the water of the Schwalm past the towns of Wegberg, Niederkrüchten, Schwalmtal, Brüggen-Born, Brüggen and Swalmen, among others, are characterized by a varied and natural meander course.

This section in particular should not be driven in rainy weather, but otherwise a nice highlight.
