"Firebirds" was unveiled in 1975 on the slope next to the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle on the occasion of the exhibition of works by Władysław Hasior, a sculptor and painter from Zakopane. The photo by Zbigniew Wróblewski, a photographer from Szczecin, shows the installation in its full glory, i.e. standing in specially arranged flames.
Four years later, however, it had to be taken away because the construction of the Castle Route was starting. After several months of renovation by the creator, "Firebirds" was placed on the square. Polish-Soviet Friendship Square, i.e. today's square. Consent. They stood on a steel ramp, on the lawn between ul. Bogusław X and the Defenders of Stalingrad (today Bałuki). In 1989, a new tenement house was built on this site, so there was no room for an artistic installation.
They went into storage for five years. They require conservation work
Ultimately, the "Firebirds" landed in Kasprowicz Park.
