A very nice place behind the Erasmus Church, in the old churchyard there is also the Sankt Mang fountain. Furthermore, you have a beautiful view of the old patrician houses.

Hiking

In 1905, the city of Kempten held a competition for a new fountain. A design by Georg Wrba (1872–1939) emerged victorious from this competition. In order to find a suitable location on the church square, a 1:1 wooden model of the fountain was built on rollers. It was pushed back and forth on the church square until the most suitable spot was found. Each position of the model was documented photographically. The current location in the corner by the church tower of St. Mang was chosen in order to keep enough space for markets and other events.[1]
