On the initiative of the Altkünkendorf sculptor, Joachim Karbe, granite sculptors from all over Europe have been meeting regularly since 1992 at the International Angermünder Hard Stone Symposium. Her working materials are Uckermark "foundlings", large stones left here by the last ice age 10,000 years ago. 28 works of art from eight symposiums are located along the Mündesee promenade and in the historic old town. The monumental boulder sculptures speak their own language. Seen on the European horizon, they evoke memories of our common cultural past.
The erratic sculpture gallery can be visited free of charge.

From 1997 Angermünde organized "hard rock symposia" to which sculptors from all over Europe came. They then created works of art from the ice age granite stones. These sculptures on the Mündesee promenade can be admired, admired or even smiled at. In any case, the sculptures invite you to discover the landscape in a new way.
