The scree field at the southwest foot of the Kleis (Klíč) is also known as the "stony sea". Rare plants such as the alpine aster, the southern ciliate fern and the alpine chive can also be found on the steep rock face behind it.

The scree slopes of Klíč (Kleis) provide a suitable environment for many beetles and spiders, among which you can also find cold-loving mountain species that are otherwise only known from the Giant Mountains or the High Tatras. Of the larger animals, if you are lucky you can see chamois in the rocks, which were released into the Lusatian Mountains at the beginning of the 20th century. A whole range of important and protected bird species also occur here, such as the capercaillie, flycatcher, siskin and bullfinch. The peregrine falcon also nested on Klíč in the middle of the 20th century, but it has not been seen here for a long time since then; it only nested here again in 2007.
