The former house of the private collector Gerd Matthes was taken over by the Kulturstiftung Altes Land after his death in 2013 and turned into a museum. Admission is free, a donation is welcome. The museum is open from April to October from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The collection of the Estebrügge Museum shows valuable pieces of evidence of Altland's cultural history, all of which come from the estate of Gerd Matthes. Traditional and bourgeois furniture, ceramics, cutlery, Altland filigree jewelry, textiles, historical clothing and costumes provide valuable insights into the festival and everyday culture of the Altland people. Gerd Matthes collected all of these cultural assets and exhibited them in his parents' house in the center of Estebrügge.
