Location: Hauenstein, Südwestpfalz, Palatinate Forest, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
Extremely steep in places, but easy to do with hiking poles for sporty hikers. Once you reach the top, you can look almost directly at the Ritterstein!
In the lower part you pass the rock formation "Hauensteiner Puppe": a very beautiful sight!
A meeting between MTB and hikers, however, is life-threatening here!! (I actually saw MTB tracks here!)

Class climb. Whereby the spectacular Hauensteiner Puppet (so called in climbing circles) can inspire right at the beginning of the ascent from the Queichtal. In places you can still take one or the other easy view from the summit plateau. Caution is advised. You should be sure-footed. In my opinion, a head for heights is not a requirement. If you stay on the trail, it's not dangerous and there are no dizzying chasms.
