Wanderheim „Dicke Eiche“

Barely a kilometer from the natural monument Dicke Eiche is the hiking home of the same name. Here you can stop for a short break with a white cheese (quark) with potatoes and a nice Weissherbst spritzer.

Very nice cabin and a great view.

Lots of space with a nice outdoor area. Overnight stays are also possible and overnight guests are well looked after by PWV Hauenstein (own experience).
A children's playground is also available.

This hut above Hauenstein is one of my favorite huts, here the hiker enjoys a homelike atmosphere.

Beautiful hosted hiking hut. With a large indoor area and also an outdoor area with several benches. Next door is also a playground for the little hikers.

The memorial was erected in 1979 and indicates the hiker's home, where hikers and their children are welcome.

Very good tasty food, short waiting time, reasonable prices.

Here you can enjoy Palatinate specialties such as Palatinate Saumagen, liver dumplings etc. with sauerkraut.

Always happy - by bike or on foot - to drink Schorle, meet acquaintances and sit back.
