If you're on the West Highland Way, Sallochy Campsite is a welcome sight after a long days hike from Drumquhassle. With thirty pitches, twenty on the main site and ten by the Loch, you'll find that this perfectly captures the 'wild camping' feeling without actually having to scope out your own pitch.

The tent spots are level and feel very private, and to enhance your experience you can hire a firepit and purchase wood from the warden. Please follow the principles of Leave No Trace and ensure you don't damage the existing trees where possible!

The pitch costs £7 per person per night. Facilities include composting toilets and cold running water. You can book online at hol.co.uk/online-booking/uksaca/sallochy-campsite-rowardennan-glasgow
