The Rüdersdorf Museum Park is the only historic limestone and mine in the world that has been preserved in this variety. Nowhere else can you find such an ensemble of industrial history. Under Mining Minister Anton von Heinitz (later a founding member of the Bergakademie Freiberg), famous architects such as Schinkel, Tick and Schlaetzer built here.

Hiking

Very interesting and educational museum park.
You can spend a few hours here.
My highlights were the view of the opencast mine and the shaft furnace battery.
Admission is €7 per adult.
