Blockline Wooden Gateway Schwartenberg

Breathtaking wooden portals point the way of the BLOCKLINE, one of which is at the Dachsbaude at the foot of the Schwartenberg. A great photo spot along the way.

The BLOCKLINE "Fuchs" portal is located directly next to the Hotel Dachsbaude, lined with milestones and an information board. Here you can learn interesting facts about the "Dachs."Starting from the start portal (Holzhau), you are at kilometer 114 of the entire BLOCKLINE route and at the finish of stage 13, directly next to the Hotel Dachsbaude (BLOCKLINE Inn partner). The nearby Waldgasthof Bad Einsiedel, a BLOCKLINE Inn partner, is also a perfect place to stop for a break or stay overnight. The next stages, 14 (12 km, ascent 152 m, descent 255 m) and 15 (11.4 km, ascent 197 m, descent 235 m), await you before you reach the start and finish portal in Holzhau.

Funnily enough, the portal at the Dachsbaude depicts a fox :-P
On the attached information board, badgers are also explained in their dens and the historical surveying system, whose contemporary witness is still on the summit, is explained.
