The village can score with a baroque church built between 1730 and 1735 among the sights. A Low German dialect is still spoken here, primarily by the older generations. The inhabitants here reflect the typical country life in the Thuringian Rhön. In comparison to the large Hanseatic city, however, everyone knows everyone here.
