Cadolzburg Castle and Castle Garden

The walled castle garden is divided into two different zones. The higher garden area is divided by a network of paths; Of the garden pavilion originally located in the south corner, only the brick sandstone base remains today.

In this part of the garden, the Bavarian Palace Administration shows a large variety of historical grain species and varieties in a display planting. Visitors can also find take-away recipes for individual types of grain.

The lower part of the garden, separated by a hedge, is closed off to the east by a high defensive wall and is dominated at the northern tip by a small, fortified belvedere with a tiled tent roof. The flower meadow here, through which a winding path leads, is planted with tall fruit trees.
