Roger Raveel is considered one of the most important Belgian artists of the post-war period. He created most of his works in his studio, right next to his house.
The artist's widow, Marleen Raveel-De Muer, restored and renovated the studio. In this way you experience the authentic working environment of the artist and can immerse yourself in his living environment. The studio is only open on weekends or by appointment.

Hiking
In the late 1960s, Raveel transformed an old flax shed in Hoevestraat into a spacious studio, where he painted and drew. The studio, now professionally renovated and with respect for the past, has a unique collection of drawings, paintings, a collection of graphics, several objects and rare memorabilia. They show the development of an artist: from figurative to abstract, the emergence of the New Vision, where each work is placed in a fascinating context of space and time.
