The history of Landpark Assisi begins on January 19, 1901. A woman then donated 45 hectares of land with 3 farms to the church. Her father had been cared for by brothers in Boekel for many years and she wanted to give something back. The brothers opened a nursing home for people with disabilities on the ground in Biezenmortel. On January 12, 1904, the first residents moved to the country park. Now 220 people live there.
