The parish of San Juan Bautista de Tamón, was donated in the year 1150 by Queen Dña. Urraca to the Cathedral of Oviedo. The Temple is located in the place where it was first built, that is, next to the crossroads of the old Caminos Reales, Gijón-Avilés and Luanco-Oviedo.
