This church is located directly on the market square in Kehl. It was built in 1817 as a so-called emergency church for evangelical and catholic believers. Their churches were destroyed in 1793 for the Kehl Fortress. First there was a licensed simultaneous church. This became dilapidated and the current neo-Gothic Simultankirche (current Friedenskirche) was built. In 1851 the first service was held. Both denominations worked here until June 28, 1914, from this date the Catholic Nepomuk Church inaugurated.
