Skjern Church was built in the Middle Ages but was later considerably enlarged and fully restored in 1915. The inventory is mostly older. The altar and the pulpit are from the beginning of the 17th century. The organ gallery from about 1630 and a pew with 'Ivar Munk' coat of arms can be seen in the church choir. 16th century crucifix. New organ from 1988.

The church was built in 1100 and has since been expanded and rebuilt several times. The church underwent a major expansion in 1915. The nave stands as it was built in 1100, while the altar and tower were added later.
