In the renaturation area are many different and also rare species of birds (eagles!) At home or in transit.

Very nice area, but the paths along the water are unfortunately hardly accessible in winter, even in dry weather, at least not without high (!) Rubber boots or similar. In some places we sank into the mud pretty quickly, 10 - 15 - 20 cm - who knows how far it would have gone if we hadn't turned quickly. Anyway, it was pretty scary, especially since we had sunny, dry weather and it hadn't rained in 10 days.

Skjern Enge = Skjern Aue is Denmark's richest river. This is a river delta with the Skjern AA and its tributary, the Fortgroeft, as well as many small watercourses and ditches. The magnificent landscape of the Autal forms with the adjacent heathland and moorland a natural area, which offers rare and endangered animal and plant species habitat. The birds can u.A. also watch from the viewpoints. The nature area is ideal for hikers and cyclists. There are trails of about 20 km in length.

In addition, during the summer months there is the possibility of traveling by canoe or kayak. Also on horseback is possible.

By means of own muscle power one can use the pull-pull ferries for the translation over the two big streams.
