The pumping station was built in 1929 and is now freely accessible. The technology and purpose of the pumping station are impressively shown and explained here. Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter season and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the summer. Accessibility is provided by an elevator.
In the pumping station, past and present technology is explained on two floors. Suitable for all ages. And from the attic you have a great view of the water areas all around. There is also a landscape model and some explanations of local birds.
If the weather is bad, you can simply rest up here in a dry place and protected from the wind. Seating furniture is available.
