According to tradition, the hill on which the chapel was built is a tumulus. There is confusion and ambiguity about this. In any case, this suspected tumulus with chapel was located along the old Roman road that ran north from Tongeren towards Bilzen. The volume of this mound could further confirm this tradition. However, the tumulus is said to have been robbed empty in the past.

The four lime trees were also laureates in the election for the most beautiful tree in Hoeselt. Chapel dedicated to Saint Anna. On the glass door of the chapel during our visit, a prayer text for "Saint Anna, grandmother of Jesus" on the occasion of the new school year. As indicated, the chapel dates from 1653.

On the Ferraris map (eighteenth century) the chapel was indicated as "Chapelle de Vier Linden".

Quote from the Immovable Heritage site: "Rectangular brick chapel, restored, under a gable roof. Marl stone bands and corner bands. A facade stone bears the date A.1653, and an inscription along the eaves states: Holy Mother Anna / Protect Our Children. The facade is also finished. with a profiled, marlstone frame under the gable, and is equipped with a round-arched portal with a marlstone arch with a profiled drip molding."
