Hiking

"On September 19, 1944, a German fighter plane was shot down near the Groessen floodplains. The pilot of the German plane landed with his parachute in the Pannerdense Waard. Jan (23 years old) and Piet (17 years old) Meuwsen saw this happen and went to have a look. Germans stationed in the Pannerdense Waard arrested them and later executed them for unknown reasons."
