The former section of the federal motorway 4 through the Hörselberge was shut down and dismantled at the beginning of 2010. It no longer met the current safety standards and, among other things, the proximity to the nature reserve made the expansion impossible. The section should offer "car hikers" a nice view of the Wartburg.
