In the Lauseberg there are numerous rocks and former quarries; e.g. Federbusch sandstone quarry, Gramattscher quarry, Klappenhauwand. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the red sandstone quarries were of cultural and historical importance for the construction of churches, chapels and for the production of wayside shrines, baptismal fonts, etc. in Untereichsfeld.

A visit to the Gramatjenbruch is always worthwhile, especially when there is no vegetation in winter.
The inscription carved high up on the entrance wall is particularly puzzling1814 the 21st of JUNYThere are alleged traditions that a stoneworker is said to have died here on the said date.
However, there is no entry in the death register of the parish of Krebeck.
