This is a modern recreation of the Roman Baths. It is in itself steeped with history, being part of the great redesign by John Wood the elder and younger so parts date back to the late 1700's. This is considered modern, however, set against the Roman Baths 2000 year history . These baths have been restored to be used as a spa with a number of bathing pools and treatment rooms available to bathe in and relax. They use the thermal waters of the spring that is situated in the Roman Baths but shouldn't be confused with the Roman Baths which is now a museum next to the Abbey
