One of the Jewels of the British Isles, Exmoor has so much to offer. This route will take you through wooded valleys, up onto the moor, through some farmland, down to the beach and along some majestic shoreline. We did this over 2 days which turned out to be quite easy.

Browns folly is a woodland set on a hill that hides the old mine workings below. It is a great place to explore with some cliffs to climb - and a tower, winding paths fill the woods and good potential for some great tree swings. The mine itself is open but officially access is not permitted.

I did this as an overnight route sleeping on the edge of Fenworthy forest. Great scenery - just be careful when it rains. Dartmoor is renowned for its bogs

Great Route taking in the countryside south of Bath and linking up to the river through Keynsham and on to Weston via Bitten. It is quite a walk and can be muddy in places but there are some great views to be had and wildlife to discover.

This is a superb route (especially if you sleep at Priest Hole). We did this over a weekend by stashing some inflatable canoes in a car next to Thirlmere to include a bit of rowing on the adventure.
(Please note that you need to get permission to take boats on Thirlmere)

This is a great short overnight route. There is some great flat grass at the head of the reservoir to camp and it is quite a diverse route

This is one of my favourite routes up Helvellyn as it captures the majesty of the horseshoe on approach. Don't be fooled, however, by the pleasant warm weather in Glenridding, it can be bitterly cold on the ridge. The summit itself is pretty flat but the 360 degree views on a clear day are great. What

We did this as a weekend trip. We started Friday afternoon and slept near Fenworthy Forest on the first night. Saturday we hiked across to Meldon Reservoir and slept there. We ended at Sunday lunch at the parking near Ger Tor. It is a great walk with lots of diversity.

This is a great route for the adventurous/experienced hiker on a clear day. Crib Gogh poses a challenge but has beautiful views on the way up and the summit is the highest point in England and Wales standing at 1085 metres. Those that cant climb can meet you on the top by making use of the railway that

Great walk on a clear day with an historical stop over at Priest Hole. Free parking available at the beginning of the walk.

On a clear day, this little walk hits the spot with spectacular views. We dashed up there for lunch and perched ourselves on top of one of the formations and enjoyed the view.
