Yenidze: Former cigarette factory from 1907, whose architectural style and high dome are based on mosques.

From 1907 the manufacturer Hugo Zietz had his "Oriental Tobacco and Cigarette Factory" built on the western edge of the old town, named after a tobacco-growing area.
With the construction in the style of a mosque, complete with a magnificent colorful glass dome, he circumvented the building ban on higher chimneys by hiding his 62 m chimney under the shell of a minaret.
Today there are offices, a restaurant and a reading theater in the building.

The dome of the Yednize shines in fantastic colors in the evening or when the sunlight reflects (or shines through) the glass windows. Fairy tales are read in the dome (ticket booking required) and in the restaurant you can enjoy the view over Dresden
