If you have reached the Zugspitzblatt / Sonnalpin on foot, you have to be aware that here the classical Wanderfeeling stops, because at 2600m altitude you meet viiiiiiele people, mostly day trippers, who did not come on foot on the mountain;)

Otherwise, you get a lot here: Food & Drink on a great terrace, the access to the glacier train (on the Zugspitze) and of course you have a great view!

If you want to go there, then but best of all the complete package, the view from here is also highly recommended.

The Zugspitzplatt is a karst plateau with numerous caves. Here is also the highest ski resort in Germany

We went up on the 4.9.19 from the Ehrwalder Alm, was quite exhausting but wonderful. Two days later, everything was white .......

The rest of the rifle festival. Unfortunately there is not much left of the glacier. I've never been there in the ski season, but there are a lot of snow cannons. A detour to the top is highly recommended.
