From this rest area with a bench you have a magnificent view over the "Land of the White Mountains". Directly in front of the nose is the city of Heringen with its salt mine Monte Kali, a waste dump, which consists of about 150 million tons of accumulated Abrasion salt and left hand is the salt mountain of Unterbreizbach-Philippsthal to recognize. In good weather, the panoramic view extends far beyond the Werratal and Waldhessen into the Rhön and the northern Hessian mountains.
